    • Radio: Part-time Information Editor, Trafficlink
      Trafficlink, the UK's leading provider of traffic and travel information to the BBC, commercial radio and television, has a vacancy for an Information Editor at our Bristol office, based in Avonmouth.

      Position: Part Time Information Editor
      Editorial Duties: You will handle 'jamline' callers, contact many sources from the local CCTV unit to the relevant agency who maintains the road network, and you would be responsible for collating this data into our custom built database. You need the ability to handle a busy workload as you will be dealing with a large variety of resources and also understand how to prioritise tasks while having excellent telephone skills to gain as much information from sources as you can. A good understanding of the region's road network would be an advantage.

      The shift will be 20 hours a week based on a part time temporary four month fixed contract. The shift hours will be Monday to Friday 6am to 10am.

    • Radio: Part-time Broadcaster/Editor, Trafficlink
      Trafficlink, the UK's leading provider of traffic and travel information to the BBC, commercial radio and television.
      An opportunity has arisen for a post at the London office of Trafficlink. Part of this shift will involve broadcasting in-vision travel news to viewers of "Daybreak" on the ITV network in the London area. Other duties during the shift include, but are not limited to, broadcasting pre-recorded radio bulletins and writing scripts for use by client radio stations.
      Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview and record a television demo at Trafficlink's London office. Demos from the most suitable candidates will then be sent to ITN for short listing by their News Editor.

      Previous TV broadcasting experience and a knowledge of the London transport network would be an advantage. The shift will be 20 hours a week, 05:00 to 09:00 Monday to Friday based on a part time fixed contract.

      This key role requires a solid track record of success in top to bottom management of the entire output of the station, including scheduling, branding, coaching and presenting. Good working knowledge of broadcast systems such as RCS or Myriad will be essential, whilst a creative flair will be required too. Excellent man-management skills are clearly important, as well as a thorough and organised approach to what will undoubtedly be long days. You will also be expected to present a daily show (not breakfast).
      Apart from the above skills, you’ll ideally be French, with excellent English language skills. Critical to this role is a deep understanding of London’s ‘soul’ and extensive experience of living here will be hugely important.
